I am; but am not profound.
So often blind, drawn to whispers of sound.
You're complicated, beautiful and outside any wave length of reach.
Fingers bend then flex attempting to span that mocking void of space.
A line of infinite perpetual grace.
I'm lost in the ocean, not just out to sea.
In the wake of the haste of turbulence the creators lost in the fading breeze
as we find shelter far beyond the wilting trees.
A sanctuary of wounded conflicting creeds.
We're lost in the ocean, not just out to sea.
Rogue waves!
We lost the fight before it started,
on the precipice of a light regarded
eons, of gleaming peace,
streets of gold lined in fleeting memories,
of times so happy times so sad but you're so light hearted
the ground will never reach your feet.
Have you found everything you wanted?
I guess you have you've stopped looking so haunted.
The further I look down the road the more cracked the concrete becomes.
I've tried to buy you time.
You sit at ground zero twiddeling your thumbs.
Midnight the clock chimes.
Your mind neglected your flesh succumbs.
Rise from the ashes or they'll drift away.
Phoenix come save me from the decay.
The snow is making itself at home.
We only assume the sun has gone to roam.
Hang up your gun, put down your pride
but don't lose stride as you
fight your way in to the tide.
We're lost in the ocean, not just out to sea.
Can't you see?
The sun is shining but you're closing the shades.
Flowers blooming betties cooing.
You're not sinking but you're holding your breath.
Open up your lungs breathe in some life.
It's alright. Lands in sight.
Keep your eyes on the horizons light.
Just keep digging deeper to find some fight.
I know your sail is broken
and you feel like you are choking
oh your arms are smoking
and all your words are spoken
but you gotta believe the wind is at your back.
