I loose my breath when I’m caught in her gaze
My hands grow damp I’m not sure what to say
Sun reflects off her face in golden rays
Under the dark of night she shines like day
Yet beneath her guise holds a haunted past
I can only believe what she tells me
But there are some things I dare not ask
Pain in her eyes that only I can see
A social wall that was built to the sky
A wall that once stood as solid as stone
Has now crumbled and is begging to die
Invisible ruins surround her throne
I say its okay and I’ll protect her
Won’t walk away like another specter
