• Things just weren't working for me
    They have never gone my way
    The sun had gone behind dark clouds
    The rain just kept coming down
    Now someone has come into my life
    Who somehow knows how to make me smile

    The downpour slows into showers
    The sun peeks from behind the lightening clouds
    The sky doesn't seem so dark anymore
    I wonder if things will stay this way
    Whether the sun will fully shine
    If the rain will make the flowers grow
    The grass seems greener on this side
    The trees here bear more fruit
    When the night comes the full moon shines
    And the whole world turns to silver

    Now when the morning breaks
    The birds begin to sing
    The rain has turned to morning dew
    The sun is shining on my skin
    The clouds in the sky are soft and white

    The world I see now is beautiful
    The way that my world needs to be
    All because someone came into my life
    Who somehow knew how to make me smile
