• I have a tale to share, taking the lead role is Harjit, who would have rather, liked to be like everybody else than to be unique, wanted to belong in that clique, ever since she was eight years old, she longed to be the girl that everybody talked about, in grade school she got bullied and looked down on like she was less, Harjit was depressed and each day a small fraction of her becoming angers mistress, and the sister of revenge and then, high school came knockin', inside she was growing more and more frigid, nothing changed, s**t remained the same , she desperately wished she could just fly away like Mary Poppins, in the month of November, when autumn leaves fell, Harjit was walking home from school, someone was following her as far as her gut could tell, she turned around and dropped her books, it was a shock, she was being followed by Christina and Marie and their whole flock, see in her grade, they were the popular chicks, all the guys desired and all the girls envied Christina gave a faint smirk, “ girls you know how we were looking for the new member of our group?, well I think our job is done because Ive found the perfect fit” she walked up to Harjit and grabbed her by the arm, “congratulations, its your lucky day, cause from now on your rolling with us” Harjit couldn't believe it, why would they ever want her? But she went along with it, thought to herself, it couldn't do any harm, and that was that, her dreams became a reality in days she climbed to the top of the ladder and was really liking the view she became the person she always wanted to be new years eve, Marie was having a party, Harjit got dolled up and was real excited, walked through the door and all eyes were on her while one guy, Nolan had his on her body, Marie and Christina persuaded her to drink, saying that one wouldn't hurt, but one turned into two, two turned into four, and that lead to a countless number of shots, Harjits vision became a blur that's when Nolan decided approach her so he took her by the hand, induced her upstairs to a room telling her that he thought she was beautiful how he understands her and sees inside her soul, and that's when he locked the door she bought everything and left her body defenseless, and so the next day, at the brisk of evening, Harjit decided to head down to the park, where she knew Nolan and his boys would be she walked along the paved pathway, that lead to a big isolated tree, standing alone on top of a hill slowly shedding its leaves, that's where they like to hang, and as she got closer, she saw movement of a figure, tall, had brown hair and was sportin' a biggie t-shirt, it was him, an immediate grin came upon her face, she as about to call out his name, but halted when she noticed he wasn't alone, Harjit moved around to get a better look, and soon found out that he was sticking his tongue down some other girls throat, this had her shook, she thought back to the last night where she lost her virginity, all the things he told her were ******** lies and she felt she played her stupidity to another level to believe that she would ever have a happy time in her life, the day back from winter break Harjit felt dreadful, got her binder from her locker and looked up to see, that she was face to face with Christina and Marie " we saw your video, everyone did, and well you sure put on quite show, looks like you were really enjoying yourself you f**king tramp, you'll never be nothing but an easy whore, one more thing before we go, we wanted to let you know that we never really liked you just thought it would be fun to play with a misfit and see how far you would go to have a place in our crew", hearing these words dug a deep whole in Harjit, and buried in it was misery and defeat as tears were strolling down her face, she sulked through the halls, hugging her binder tight she heard the whispers and saw a haze of pointing fingers, seeing all this set the rage in her alight , the world is a cruel and cold place with no pity or no mercy, all her life she had been ridiculed and teased, Harjit prayed every night to up above hoping that she would see better days and she thought she got her wish when she met Christina and Marie but that ladder that she once felt so secure on, wasn't so sturdy after all, they weren't her friends, they just wanted to see her climb up, push it from underneath her feet and watch her fall!, Harjit ran out the main doors wiping her eyes, she was done with trying to fit in and find acceptance, and her heart had now turned into a glacier, it had completed its transition, now shes sitting in a chair in the dining room, feeling all listless, alone in her home wishing she was never born, that she never existed, in her hand she was holding her mums antidepressants, thoughts spiraling through her head, she thought she would find contentment in being someone she desired to be but all it did was take her life from bad to worse, Harjit had no plan b, but there was one other option left, she glanced down in her hand and twisted the cap open, too long she'd been trapped in this cage and fed torment, so she took a handful of pills, popped em in her mouth, let go of the hurt and pain, cleared her mind frame, closed her eyes and set herself free...
