Tell me, Why like this?
Why ruin pleasure and bliss.
I find it hard to believe,
You run off and leave.
While I'm standing here, Heartbroken,
Your ,finding girls who say they're your lucky token.
Nobody told me love hurted this way,
But until today.
How I rejoiced and smiled and laughed,
I didn't care if I looked daft.
Because I found love hurt me, then it healed me,
I guess you and me were never meant to be.
He took my hand with extreme care,
With love and tender there,
At midnight, while I was supposed to be meeting you,
I was off on a midnight train adventure, choo-choo.
So, my friend, I've figured out,
Why sometimes I didn't pout,
About you or your business,
Why, I might as well have been throwing kisses.
How I rejoiced and smiled and laughed,
I didn't care if I looked daft.
Because I found love hurt me, then it healed me,
I guess you and me were never meant to be.

- This is a good poem, I like it, but I have to say that the rhymes seem a bit forced at times. You don't need to rhyme in poems, it helps at times, but its not required. If you had taken an approach of perhaps a ABCB sort of scheme it might have fixed this issue, but I dont think this needs to be changed. In the future, though, remember that you dont NEED to rhyme just because thats what people expect. Free Verse poems can be just as meaningful without the rhyme. Good poem! Keep writin!
