• Made of Glass
    By Darius Daniel

    Helpless on a marble base,
Where I’m standing, I am laced.
    What am I to face?
    From time I am erased.

    I’m unnoticed like I don’t exist,
    Inside me lives a carnage.
    My happiness I can’t harness,
    Did I wrong this?

Nothing can roll down my cheek,
    Frozen are my feet.
    Though I can’t speak,
But there’s more of me, like a Naval Fleet.

Damned to watch time past bye,
    Never to see the sky.
    Never see the birds fly,
    If only I could cry.

    A ghost I am,
See threw I am, but from society I’m damned.
Smooth, curved, and expressionless is why I’m passed,
As if I was made of glass…
