Gentle breeze
Flowing like current among the foliage.
Bursts of green decadence
with dapples of light,
their many arms
as alive as the creatures
scurrying across the floorbed.
Among the everlasting walls of green
a doorway sits,
brushed with metallic leaves
of gold and silver luminescence.
A rusted handle
seemingly old as the ancients.
This place,
it appears to have been abandoned.
Devoid of life for many a century's time.
Nervously, the handle is turned.
And all that appears before it
a pitch blackness
as dark as a moonless night.
Entering reveals bursts of color
and light combined,
a rainbow of flora overwhelming my senses.
However,
no true light exists here.
The only true light
floods in through the open doors.
Slamming shut,
the human portals encase me,
my state of euphoric tranquility.
