• The dark filled my eyes,
    Now gone the bedtime lullabies,
    I soon got taken away,
    To a place without day,

    A dark shimmer, a scale,
    Glittered without fail,
    Scales with forbidden beauty,
    Beyond what I normally see,

    Good Night . . .

    I can't see it,
    I can't find it,
    The wings of the night,
    They took flight,

    Writhing, singing,
    Her voice ringing,
    I hear a lost butterfly,
    Her scales floating by,

    The moonlight filled the sky,
Crimson, as if I could die,
    Her voice called me,
    I followed trustingly,

    Entransed,
    Romanced,
    Take me night!
    Into the moon's distorted light!

    Sweet Dreams . . .

    But I was already there,
    I could turn to nowhere,
And so my wings guide me through the night,
A lost butterfly, beauty of the moonlight,
