- The poem is about reality and the meaning of life. The last two lines refer to the fact that everyone dies in the end and there is nothing you can do about it. The poem is also about the hardships during life and how you overcome them and keep going, only to die in the end. It's a realistic poem, but it shows that no matter what you can go through anything if you have the will! wink
