Yearbook Memories
Open up the yearbook, baby.
Read the dusty titles, turn a page or two.
See the pictures laid out, baby?
You think you don't know them, but I promise that you do.
All these names and faces, they fade away with time,
But say them all out loud, and you'll pick up with:
Abernathy, Albrighton, Crotty, Crosby, Dillingham,
Dorn, Dunn, Ensley, Fidler, Foster, Gerena, and Graham
Nowdays you just can't seem to live your life at ease,
So when you're feeling down you can look back on these
Yearbook Memories.
In all our days at Rollings, we had learned a couple things,
How to read, write, act, play, express ourselves and sing,
But we never would have made it it weren't for those few,
Who would take their time and help us see just what we could do.
All these names and faces, they fade away with time,
But open that notebook, and you'll remember:
Skow, Arnold, Brunson, Rogers, Thompson, Callison
Brown, Diamond, Marialke, Sauer, Perry, Johnson
Remember working hard to dodge those D's?
If not, take a good long look at your
Yearbook Memories.

Scribbled signatures in shapes of all sorts,
Notes filled with compliments, farewells, and retorts,
Pictures of the class clown, doing as he does,
Growing fond of everything there that ever was.
Dating that girl that everyone was after,
Writing each other's stories, chapter after chapter,
Breaking up because you knew that it would never last,
Apologizing, realizing, put it in the past.
On the last day of school, you hang out with your friends,
Having fun, you pray to God and hope it never ends,
But when that bell rings, you know it's time to go,
And you do your best not to let that painful tear show.
I never knew how much it meant to me,
Until I came back to these Yearbook Memories.
Jones, Kenney, Lucius, Mazell, McKean, McManus,
Medico, Miesmer, Montoya and Mueller,
Reese, Rego, Spencer, Todd, Trevino, Turner,
Ulanoff, Ustonovich, Villacreses, Walker,
All of these names were a mystery to me,
Until I stumbled back upon
These Yearbook Memories. x4

Description:
I've just become a ninth grader, and looking through my middle school yearbook, I though about what it would be like to have grown up considerably and then stumble upon it again. This is a song I threw together on the last day of school to commemorate our going away.
As always, constructive criticism is appreciated.
