Would it matter
If I stole
A ram’s horn
And a bowl of glue
And blew through the instrument
To make excessive noise
Would you hear the anonymous plea?
And know it was me?
Or would you and your many facets stand tall?
They are
Much thicker
Then the spider limb walls of my house
That I wont call home
Or my mouth
That is all worn out
Do you hear the constant drone?
Do you hear me on the phone?
Do you hear me through the trees?
Does my voice float like a lime mist on the breeze?
The second before you sneeze
When you close your eyes
What do you see?
Is it a monster?
Is it me?
In reality
I’m a thimble tall
My voice twists like a vine
Through the windows of shopping malls
Terrorizing blameless taffy dots of tacky trended people
Don’t you get hit by the glass?
How can you live with this sort of class?
When I’m a barbarian like
A mongol riding fast
Up mountains that don’t go down
Would you see me if I frowned?
Would you notice if I didn’t make a sound?

Description:
I wrote this not directed to a specific person, but to a personified time in my life.
It is a poem, not a song. It is one of my favorite works that I have completed.
Thank you for reading.
