    You hoped you dreamed
    so perfect it seemed
    until it crashed and burned

    Soon the pieces will shatter
    broken pieces that add to the clutter
    your heart it splatters
    it had taken all of the courage you could muster

    Shot right down
    your face shows no emotion
    though you want to frown
    you show then no notion

    though the sinking feeling in your chest
    makes it seem that the capability of happiness has left
    could it be a test
    or should you just give it a rest

    The sadness will end
    and soon after you won't have to pretend
    like everything is perfect
