the day i thought i'd not survive

a lie of the past
the love we had
it has passed
but still to this day
id like to add
into my life
a brand new heart
one not broken
so now i could start
finally getting over you

Last line reminds me of a song, however it does not matter. A poem is a poem, even in the darkest matters. What tears our heart to shreds, puts glorious words into our heads. Heartbreak, loss, despair and death, take our every breath.
