    Swirling leaves
    Silently reach the ground.

    Suddenly
    Like the sound of a gunshot,
    Thunder strikes.

    Storm clouds appear
    Rapidly getting
    Larger and darker.
    Rain shoots down--
    An army of bullets
    Attacking
    The unsuspecting victims.

    The leaves that had been
    Flying so freely
    Now drown
    In the puddles of water.

    The sun that had been
    Shining so brightly
    Now are nowhere
    In sight.

    But just as suddenly
    As they appeared,

    The clouds vanish.

    The thunder stops.

    The rain disappears.

    The leaves miraculously
    Come back to life.
    The sun
    Glowing up high.
    And once again
    With the clear, blue sky

    It is a
    Peaceful day.
