    The earth sits alone,
    beneath a empty sky
    no one to talk to,
    not even birds to admire
    and to share with
    she basks in her loneliness
    but a cloud rolls into her sights,
    and makes friends with earth
    cloud grows from earth's love
    earth is protected by cloud's nature
    a drop of rain,
    bringer of life

    cries of thunder
    flashes of lightning
    torrents of rain
    cloud's symbol of love
    swinging of trees
    swelling of waves
    feeding the land
    earth's passionate response
    they show their love to each other

    for that is the cycle of life
