• Falling into your arms
    I think of those times
    We had together
    Yours and mine

Hand in hand walking along the beach
Toes sandy, hair knotted from wind
Sitting watching the fires of the sky
Lying on your chest, on my head rests your chin

Sitting in the park under a young silk tree
Away from the world, talking constantly
Taking in the beauty of the nature around us
A diaphanous pink flower floats down to my knee

    Embraced, arms entwined
    Lips brushing each other’s cheeks
A gentle kiss, warm and comforting
Wishing I could feel this happy for weeks

What happened to you was sudden
    You couldn’t control your pain
Which is why you made me stand with you
    In the ever pouring rain

    Whispering silently into my ear
“I love you, but I cannot control
    This urge inside of me.
I can only help myself if you go”

So when I fell into his arms
    Thinking of those times
The last thing I saw of the world
Was the change he’d gone through in his eyes

Of course he’d felt sadness and regret
When he killed me that night
He hated what he had become so much
He killed himself without a fight

    Lying on cool concrete
    In each other’s arms
Were the two dead bodies becoming soaked by rain
A vampire, and the mortal whom he’d charmed
