Exchanging texts in secret,
thoughts of him crush in on her,
but she can't tell anyone,
for what she feels is forbidden.
Pressure of things to come stress her,
college letters and interviews.
Her mother would disagree,
she's trying to focus her thoughts but fails.
He's on her mind, tramping around,
making her remember all the stupid things.
His dogmatic charismatic presence lingers,
she longs to meet him.
But she can't be sure of his intent,
all her friends warn against it,
her sisters suspect something.
So she thinks: is he for real?
Anxiously waiting, she knows this is wrong
& she knows she should stop contact.
He could be lying about everything.
Two seperate lives & they should stay that way.
Will they?

- Description: Remember poetry doesn't have to rhyme, it all depends on the poets own writing style, you don't like that then skip this poem because people who do not possess an open mind really annoy me.

- I can definitely relate to this. True, it isn't like normal poetry, but I don't think that was your intent, was it? Technically, it is still poetry, it's just open poetry.

Umm...
Well, it's... interesting. It's something everyone could relate to.
However, bad spelling, the fact that no elements of poetry are present, and the fact that this isn't unique killed it for me. Sorry, but I'm only going to rate you a 2/5. - Report As Spam
