Why do we hit when we should embrace?
Why do we run when we should stay?
Why do we hate when we should love?
Why do we lie when we should tell the truth?
Why do we cheat when we should just be faithful?
Why do we cast out when we should accept?
Why are we monsters when we could be saints?
Why do we kill when we should save?
Why?
Because we're human.
We have feelings, even the most messed up of us.
But here's the silver lining.
We have the power to decide if we will be a demon or an angel.
We all have a choice. It's what we do that defines us.
It's what we do that categorizes us to a monster or a saint.
And although it is important that we never forget our past or those we have hurt, this is not what defines us.
We can change any time, any minute. It's how we change that matters. Those who change for the better, are saints, in my opinion. Those who change for the worse are just human and need help.
We all feel, so listen to people before you judge, and not just hear, letting it come in one ear and out the other, but listen. That is how we reach forgiveness and, ultimately peace.
Forgiveness, in it's basic essence, is peace.

- Title: Why?
- Artist: gamergurly
- Description: These are my thoughts. This is to all those out there who are messed up, confused, or think there is something wrong with them. Revenge and suicide do more harm than good but people choose them because they feel so mad, sad, or numb that they believe they have no other way. This is dedicated to all those out there struggling with these too. Get better! You are loved, whether you believe it or want to believe it! =]

- good...but the second half is aa little preachy. it felt more like a sermon than a poem, you know? but, i get what you're trying to say, so keep working at it until the poem feels like a poem to you- 4/5
