When it’s only my rat and I
We always see eye to eye
It’s hard not to agree
I with him, him with me
When it’s only my rat and I
When it’s not only my rat and I
He seems always to lie
He acts like he can’t talk
‘Cept for a small squawk
When it’s not only my rat and I
No one believes me ‘bout my rat and I
They say I’ve my head in the sky
Dreaming up abnormal things
I’d believe pigs have wings
Since I say we talk, my rat and I
But I swear to you, my rat and I
We converse, with constant reply
About fancies and thoughts
And what makes us distraught
There’s no stopping us, my rat and I
If you don’t believe about my rat and I
I understand, but you can’t deny
When at his speech I do hint
In his eye, there’s a glint
He is evil, my rat, to I.

- Title: My Rat and I
- Artist: Kit_Pocket
- Description: This poem was inspired by a sketch by Sasha Lynn Stowers of a boy walking a giant rat. I looked at it and then had to write this. I hope you enjoy it.

- There aren't too many ppl I've heard that have the bouncy rhythm in their rhymes now. It's good to hear every now and then. 5/5

- I say the same as the girl below me. Childish but ... evil... D: Scary. I just don't like how bouncy it is when you read it, like a music box or something. 3/5 - Not my taste.

- this is very interesting, I love the childish feel it has to it, but yet it says so much more! 4/5!
