• His soul, lost within the great dark forests,
With nothing to guide it through,
    Rain pours, hitting like daggers,
    Thunder crashes, natures laughing,
    Yet he moves on.

His heart trying to lead him through the shadowy thick bushes,
Yet failing to find a direction,
The owls sing out into the night, ominous,
    Nature lives on, in tranquility,
    Yet he moves on.

He hopes to find a way through, the darkness and shadows,
He fears the worst is yet to come,
As the shadows begin to consume him,
    Through his resistance,
    Yet he moves on.

He falls to his knees, in pain, in tears,
On the brink of giving up and letting the darkness consume him once again,
He feels all hope is lost,
He feels alone, with no point in fighting anymore,
    And he gives up.

Suddenly through the tree tops, there shines a light,
A light so glorious that it almost blinds him,
It knocks him off his knees and down to the ground,
He looks on and marvels at the light,
    And he reaches out.

A moon, ever so bright, ever so full,
Sent by another lost soul to help him find his way,
He sits and weeps as the feeling of loneliness passes out of his heart,
    As the darkness is dispelled,
    And he fights on.

He stands, and looks up to the heavens, tears in his eyes,
And he smiles, once again, after so long,
Starring up at the brilliant moon, shining ever so brightly,
    Warming his cold dark soul,
    And he moves on.

Following the light of the great shinning moon,
He rushes through the still shadowed bush,
Running, fleeing from the darkness, and out of the woods,
    Into open pastures,
    And he smiles.

    Before him stands an angel,
An angel of such beauty, such grace,
That a tear once again falls from his face,
As he stands lost in her beautiful brown eyes,
    And he is happy.

He stands frozen, bewildered, by this angel sent to him from the heavens,
She reaches out to him, and he takes her hand,
Instantly struck by the most odd, yet good feelings he has ever felt,
Together with his beautiful savior of an angel,
    And he is home.
