Crackle 'neath footfalls
A river crimson and gold
'Round Broken Elders of Arbor. Their stories untold.
Called by the whispers of angels
Like windswept feathers they fall.
Our silent protectors;
Atop the wings of heaven they soar.
From their velvet embrace
Warmth and wonder are born.
Such is the splendor
Of perpetual autumn.

Description:
The beauty and comfort of fall. I could walk along forever.
I wrote this for an English assignment, though I've made quite a few changes since then. Mostly because I wanted to use it for something else but it demanded a slightly different meaning.

Thanks love!
Yea I never much got into the whole syllable counting thing. I probably should and I do on occasion...just not usually. >.< And autumn's my favorite season. Now if only we didn't have to attend school at that time. But thanks!

WELL HAY THAR GURLFREND.
Good work. wink Some of the syllable patterns threw me off a bit when reading, but that's just me. I'm so used to writing and reading structured poetry. Regardless, I like it. Autumn is indeed a lovely season~ - Report As Spam
