• There was a young girl,
    Who was a sweet mermaid,
    Her name was Pearl,
    Little bags she made.

    She was looking for seaweed,
    Up on the shore,
    And while she was picking,
    A young man she saw.

    He had gem blue eyes,
    And golden hair,
    A smile with it's own,
    Twinkling fair.

    He saw her too,
    As he looked up,
    But failed to see,
    The tail she'd got.

They said "Hello, who are you?",
    And what not,
And fell in love with eachother,
    Right there on the spot.

    Now darling Pearl's,
    Little old father,
    Was not happy,
    For he would rather,

    She married Tom,
    OrLuke or Theodore,
    Not some young bloke
    She found on the shore.

    But Pearl was determined,
    As she could be,
    So thecouple ran away,
    Away to open seas.

    And then they got married,
    Lived happily ever after.
And I can say the same,
    For Pearl's little old father.
