• Echoes echoing
    East and west these
    Words yank and pull
    To then fro
    Both sides welling
    With heightened will

    A woman two women
    I know not known by
    Snap crackle and pop
    With wit and discretion
    Known only to them
    Both right both wrong

    All balance fights fought
    These opposing forces both
    Benevolent in nature

In their quest to aid this traveler
    Confused to a sought world
    He has never known
A world he has yet to see
In this position he cannot tell

    The motive of these catalysts
Not of one not of either
Yet in the same underlying thought
It is obvious to him and all others

    Behind him is failure and
Triumph in its faded glow and glory
The trials of he and his influencers
The trials of his heart's inhabitants

Struck and standing in an unknown
Void he knows not which path to choose
As three unhindered goddess stab him
    With an ominous inescapable fork

With this pain in his side
    In his back
    In his mind
    Choice becomes but a dream
To the ones faced with it
    An illusion to entertain those
    That watch from afar

    Tug tug tug
    To and fro
    He feels this pressure
    Gentle as it may be
    Rains kerosene within his body

    Caught, seemingly with no escape
    He screams!
    Screams!
    Screams!

    Then calm

    His choice is made
    The pulling ceases
    His strength prevails
    And tribulation becomes but
    An echo

It echoes, that echo in the wind
Riding across the land and sea
    Across the rocks licked by
    The ocean's waves

The waves that drench the flames
In my mind and rusts the chains
Tied to my arms so that
God's gift to man may lead
    Him
    He who is I
    To greatness
    To tragedy
    Or prehaps
    simply to content.
