• my sweater is brown

    and my lipstick orange

    i broke down one day

    and went for a walk to pretend it was ok

    all i see in the mirror is a character flaw

    i miss the spring air

    in my yard with my ducks

    my shirt is yellow

    and my jeans are blue

    no matter where i look i always think of you

    so i look up at the sky

    on the graveyard lawn

    when i see the reflection in the windows to

    all i see is character flaw

    an expression to be drawn

    i'm wearing lots of eyeliner

    my nails are painted purple and green

    and my hair is real long

    woke up this morning wondering why

    wishing for the calm

    all is see in the water is a character flaw

    wondering why i wont let you go away

    why i still try

    why i can love you

    i don't like to wear shoes

    and wear more jewelry than you

    and i think it's time for me to go

    i'll leave and walk away

    down the road

    till i'm picked up and away

    then i'll leave just so you'll never have to see me

    and when i look in the mirror all i see

    is a character flaw

    and i can make it go away
