    Love, Anger and Loneliness,
Were standing next to each other.
And they can see all different things,

    Love can see,
    A golden beach.
    A calm, clear sea,
    And a light blue sky.

    Anger can see,
    A bomb site.
    Messy and broken things,
    Around the place.

    Loneliness can see,
    No one.
    Nothing,
    Just its shadow.

    Love, Anger and Loneliness,
Were standing next to each other.
And they can taste different things,

    Love can taste,
    Spaghetti Bolognese.
    Hot and spicy meatballs,
    And a saucy mince.

    Anger can taste,
    Lemons.
    Not sweet,
    But very sour.

    Loneliness can taste,
    A plain jacket potato.
    No butter or cheese,
    Just dry and hollow.

    Love, Anger and Loneliness,
Were standing next to each other.
And they can touch different things,

    Love can touch,
    Soft toys.
    Nice and warm,
And soft like a dogs fur.

    Anger can touch,
    A fast spinning drill.
    Hurting your finger,
    As you touch it.

    Loneliness can touch,
    An empty egg shell.
    Hollow,
    With nothing in it.

    Love, Anger and Loneliness,
Were standing next to each other.
And they can hear all different things,

    Love can hear,
    Calm, gentle music.
    Slow music,
    Playing on a CD player.

    Anger can hear,
    Cars crashing.
    Explosion,
    Making you deaf.

    Loneliness can hear,
    Nothing.
    Just its breath,
    Very very quite.
    Love, Anger and Loneliness,
Were standing next to each other.
And they can smell different things,

    Love can smell,
    Scented candles.
    That smell of lavender,
    And long lasting.

    Anger can smell,
    A stink bomb.
    Disgusting,
You don’t want to go near.

    Loneliness can smell,
    Nothing.
    No plants to smell,
    Nothing at all.

    If Love, Anger and Loneliness,
    Were human.
They will smell, hear, touch, taste and see,
    All these different things.
