- I could feel my heart beating like a hummingbird's wings as I ran. All I could see were the blurs of the trees flashing by me at light speed. Slowing down to catch my breath, I remembered what they had done to Claire. The memories were torture yet I kept playing them over and over, trying to make them untrue. I quickened my pace to maximum ability to avoid being caught like careless Claire had. Glancing backwards, I saw no one, even with my special eyesight, and decided to rest for the night. Afraid someone might try to attack me in my sleep, I set up some traps. A couple of invisible skin melting, to the touch, walls here and there and a spell that propels you fifty miles away no matter what you hit. After putting up the extra protection, I felt better about sleeping and drifted away...
