Prologue:
I was running. Running fast. Faster than I had ever run before. I knew who was after me. I knew his reasons,
why he gave chase. But still I ran. I couldn't contain it any longer. I couldn't bear it. If he saw me, he would only chase
after me faster. I must not let him see my face. But it is hopeless. He did see it. He must have. Otherwise he
wouldn't come after me.
As I run, I go through everything we had. What we could have had. What we could have been. Is this really what
I want? Should I be running? Everything crevasse of my body says yes, but something, I don't know what, is saying no.
Should I really do this? Or is this the result of all that has happened? There is only one thing that I am sure of. I must
run. Nothing will be right again unless i run as far and as my soul will carry me.
He calls my name. I make twists and turns at every possible opprotunity. Is this our fate? Him running and me
trying to escape? Yes, it is. It always has been.
