- They only get 1 star from me if they've traced or copied, which is usually pretty clear. Or if they've put no effort into it at all.

Amen. So many artists are harsh on other artists. I think it is because some don't like competition.
A good artist lifts up another artist to help them be good. They give constructive advice and are not mean toward them.
A bad artist is insecure and seeks to destroy the confidence of other artists. So they are harsh on them.
