Avatar art for a friend, her avatar is a play off of the Avalon Priestesses featured in The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. The style is inspired by Gankutsuou The Count of Monte Cristo. I applied a couple of different techniques compared to the other Priestess drawing. My favorite is how I smoothed out the skin instead of leaving the paper texture alone like I usually do.
Line Art and Shading done with a lead pencil. Color, textures, and BG added with Photostudio. Completed 2008. - Date: 10/02/2008
