Ever considered choosing a light source?
The
aimlessness of the shadows make it a little
confusing to look at and very, very flat. I work
in ballpoint frequently as well, and know that
much more can be done with the medium. And don't
say "It's just a sketch!" That's a bad excuse,
sketches should be practice! Especially if you
